Iain Dawson is a visually impaired athlete who has established himself as one of the fastest multi-sport competitors on the world stage.

He has been involved in the sport since 2009 and was unbeaten during the following season. To date Iain has now won three European and six World triathlon titles from sprint to Ironman, duathlon (run-bike-run) and aquathlon (swim-run).

Iain, who has less than 5% vision due to a rare genetic eye condition, is aiming for further success over the coming seasons.

Paratriathletes compete across a number of categories depending on the type of disability and their level of impairment. Iain competes in the  PTVI category for blind and visually impaired athletes alongside a guide who accompanies him throughout the swim, bike and run legs of the triathlon.
